Well our last 2 dogs passed away at 16 and 17 and we swore we would never get another dog … our daughter worked at a shelter on Long Island that actively posted pics of their rescues and there he was the dog I always wanted .. found as stray on the streets of Brooklyn.. but whoever had him for the first 7 years must have loved loved him he is the sweetest most affectionate dog we’ve ever owned … he does have separation anxiety so while a 2nd dog may be good for him I think this site may do the trick with occasional sleep over dates !!
